Terms of Service

Welcome to Kinvo. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Kinvo (“Kinvo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) that governs your access to and use of the Kinvo mobile app and website (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Kinvo.
1. Who can use Kinvo
You must be at least 18 years old to use Kinvo. By using the Service you confirm that you are 18 or older, that the information you give us is accurate, and that you will keep it up to date. Kinvo is intended for personal, non-commercial use.
2. Your account
You can create an account with Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, or an email address and password. You're responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your login secure. Let us know right away if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
3. What Kinvo does
Kinvo introduces you to a small circle of a few people nearby who share your interests. Based on details you provide, such as your interests, approximate location, and matching preferences, we suggest a group, and a circle forms once the people in it opt in. Circles include a group chat and simple tools for planning to meet up.
Kinvo is an introduction service. We don't conduct background checks or verify the identity, conduct, or statements of members. You are responsible for your own interactions with other people.
4. Community rules & your conduct
Kinvo only works if it feels safe and welcoming. When you use the Service, you agree not to:
- harass, threaten, bully, or abuse anyone, or promote hate or violence;
- post content that is unlawful, sexually explicit, discriminatory, or otherwise harmful;
- impersonate anyone, or misrepresent who you are or how old you are;
- solicit money, advertise, spam, or use Kinvo for commercial purposes;
- share other members' private information without their consent;
- use Kinvo for any illegal activity, or to endanger anyone's safety; or
- attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
Kinvo has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Content that breaks these rules is removed, and members who post it or abuse others are removed from the Service. We review reports within 24 hours.
You can block another member at any time, which hides their messages from you, and you can report people or content. We may review reported content and take action, including removing content or accounts, as described below.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you create on Kinvo: your profile details, photos, and messages. You grant us a limited license to host, store, display, and share that content as needed to operate the Service (for example, showing your profile and messages to the other members of your circle). You're responsible for the content you post and confirm you have the right to share it.
We may remove content or limit accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are harmful, and we may use automated and human review to help keep the community safe.
6. Meeting people & safety
Meeting new people carries real-world risk, and you use your judgment when you do. We strongly encourage you to meet in public places, tell someone you trust where you're going, and stop any interaction that makes you uncomfortable. Kinvo does not screen members and is not responsible for the conduct of any user, online or in person.
7. Suspension, blocking & deletion
You can leave a circle or delete your account at any time from within the app. Deleting your account removes your profile, circles, messages, and photos from our systems. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if you violate these Terms or to protect the community or the Service. Because we have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior, we remove violating content and the accounts of members who post it.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We don't guarantee that you'll be matched, that matches will lead to friendships, or that the Service will always be available, secure, or error-free.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kinvo and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your interactions with other members, whether online or in person. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited under applicable law.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app. Your continued use of Kinvo after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
