Making friends as an adult starts with a hello.
Kinvo puts you in a group chat with 3-6 people nearby who are into the same stuff you are. Then you actually go hang out in person.
Launching soon in DFW first. We'll email you when Kinvo opens near you.
You didn't forget how to make friends. You ran out of places to make them.
School, your first job, that one apartment building. They handed you the same faces over and over until, somewhere along the way, they became your people. Then everyone moves, gets busy and one day you realize the last friend you made was years ago.
And the usual advice?
“Just put yourself out there!”
“Join a class or a club!”
“Go to a big meetup!”
So we made something a lot smaller.
No feed. No swiping. Just a few people nearby and a reason to meet them.
Tell us what you're into
Coffee snob? RuneScape grinder? Weekend hiker? Add a photo, a few interests and how far you'll go to meet up.
Meet your circle
We match you with 3-6 people nearby who like the same stuff. At least one person needs to say yes before the circle starts.
Make a plan, then show up
Say hi, pick a time and place, see who's in and then meet in person.
Monday: strangers. Saturday: regulars.
One made-up but very typical circle, from match to meetup.

I built Kinvo because making friends after college felt nearly impossible.
Growing up, friendships just happened. School, the apartment complex, the same faces every day. After graduating, that stopped. Bars and clubs were too loud to actually talk and the friend apps I tried felt like swiping through people as if they were disposable.
Kinvo is my attempt at something smaller and warmer: a few people nearby who share your interests, a chat that's already going and an easy way to turn it into a real plan. If that sounds like what you've been missing, I'd love to chat with you!

Stuff people ask us
The quick version.
What is Kinvo?
Kinvo helps adults make new friends through small groups, shared interests and plans together. Fun fact: Kinvo is a portmanteau of the words Kin and Convo.
What is a circle?
A small group of three to six people nearby, including you. Big enough that conversation flows, small enough that everyone gets to know each other.
How does matching work?
We look at shared interests and how close by people are and respect everyone's preferences for distance, age range, group size and who they want to meet. A circle only starts once the people in it accept the invite.
Is Kinvo a dating app?
Nope. Kinvo is for making friends. Small groups built around shared interests, not dates.
Isn't meeting strangers online a little sketchy?
Fair question. That's why it's small groups instead of one-on-one. Everyone opts in before a circle starts and you meet in public over something you all actually want to do. You're always in control of what you share and when you meet.
What if someone makes me uncomfortable?
Block or report them right from their profile and you won't see their messages again. You can turn off “Open to invites” whenever you need a break and delete your account and all its data from Settings anytime.
How can I get early access?
We're rolling out access gradually. Join the waitlist and we'll email you the moment your area opens up.
