Community Guidelines
Last updated: September 30, 2026
Kinvo exists to help you make real friends in small circles of people nearby. That only works when everyone feels safe, respected, and welcome. These guidelines explain what we expect from everyone who uses Kinvo. They apply everywhere on the Service: your profile, your circle chats, the plans you make, and when you meet up in person. Breaking them can lead to content being removed or your account being suspended or deleted.
Kinvo has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Content that breaks these rules is removed, and members who post it or abuse others are removed from the Service.
1. Be real
Be yourself and be honest. Use your real first name, recent photos that are actually of you, and truthful details about who you are. You must be 18 or older to use Kinvo. Don't impersonate anyone, create fake or duplicate accounts, or misrepresent your age or identity.
2. Be kind and respectful
Treat everyone the way you'd want to be treated when meeting new people. Do not:
- harass, threaten, bully, intimidate, or abuse anyone;
- promote or engage in hate, discrimination, or violence based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, or age;
- use slurs or demeaning language, or pile on or gang up on a member.
Disagreements happen. Keep them civil, and step away before things turn hostile.
3. Keep Kinvo about friendship
Kinvo is not a dating app. Circles are for making platonic friends. Don't use Kinvo to pursue romantic or sexual advances, send unwanted flirtation, or pressure anyone for a one-on-one date. Unwanted sexual attention and any sexual content are not allowed.
4. Keep everyone safe
Meeting new people carries real-world risk, and you use your own judgment when you do. To look out for yourself and others:
- meet in public places, especially the first few times;
- tell a friend or family member where you're going and who you're meeting;
- never send money to, or accept money from, people you meet here, and don't share financial details;
- stop any interaction, online or in person, that makes you uncomfortable, and report it.
If you ever feel you're in danger, contact your local emergency services first. Kinvo does not conduct background checks and is not responsible for the conduct of any member.
5. No spam, ads, or solicitation
Kinvo is for genuine connection, not promotion. Don't advertise, sell, recruit, run giveaways, promote other services, or send repetitive or unsolicited messages. Don't use Kinvo for any commercial purpose or to drive people to other platforms.
6. Respect people's privacy
What's shared in a circle stays in that circle. Don't share another member's private information (messages, photos, contact details, location, or anything else) outside of Kinvo or without their consent. Don't screenshot and repost people's content to embarrass or expose them.
7. Keep content appropriate and legal
Don't post, send, or link to content that is:
- sexually explicit, graphically violent, or gory;
- illegal, or that promotes illegal activity, drugs, weapons, or self-harm;
- hateful, harassing, or otherwise harmful;
- copyrighted or otherwise not yours to share.
8. Be a good circle-mate
Small circles work best when everyone shows up. Be responsive, RSVP honestly to plans, and let your circle know if your plans change instead of ghosting. Being consistently unreliable or disruptive can affect your future matches.
9. Report and block
You can block anyone at any time, which hides their messages from you, and you can report people or content that breaks these guidelines. Reports are confidential. We review reports and may use a mix of automated and human review to help keep the community safe.
10. What happens if you break the rules
Kinvo has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Content that breaks these rules is removed, and members who post it or abuse others are removed from the Service. We review reports within 24 hours.
Depending on the severity, we may remove content, issue a warning, limit features, or suspend or permanently remove your account, sometimes without prior notice for serious or repeated violations, or anything that threatens someone's safety. Serious matters may be reported to law enforcement. These guidelines work alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Guidelines evolve as our community grows. When we make meaningful changes, we'll update this page. Thanks for helping keep Kinvo a place where it's easy to make real friends.
